"Kalash:

THE MAN

THE MYTH."

-Mike Murdock.

Sprite Wars History[]

Kalash (AKA KALASH69/xshaddowkalashx/KALASHsixtynine) is a Sprite Wars veteran and former Global Moderator. He served in the very first sprite wars as well as the second, before mysteriously disappearing for a long period of time. He sporadically popped up in various incarnations through various campaigns before returning to Sprite Wars later on and resurrecting the many times previously failed Western Campaign. It's fifth chapter, dubbed Sprite Wars V, took place on a fictional planet very close in size and population to Earth, on an island called Bivalve. It was off to a great start when Kalash mysteriously disappeared again, leaving the Western Campaign to die again, befroe he returned once more and played a part in the second season of the Grand Campaign as a small faction Private Military Contractors.

Kalash generally always plays the part of good guy, but on a few short occasions he has played the part of villains, but this was unknown to most members because his villain character's sprites were never revealed or released and the sheet was lost in a computer crash some time ago.

He commanded the Combine's Civil Protection Overwatch branch, assisting TheManWhoKnows in the Combine's quest for world domination. Kalash disappeared after starting off the season with his army.

Kalash also created the fictional South Pacific continent of Pangea, drawing it's very first map and filling it with locations, some of which were later revised. He also did this with the island of Bivalve, drawing the whole map, naming all of it's cities and connecting them with deep lore, with every city having it's own history and secrets. He created every background used in the campaign, totaling over thirty, to correspond with random and key locations and cities in-game.

Kalash returned in August 2008, rejoining the campaigns as the Black Blood PMC and revived United States. For a short while he also played his classic Jedi Knight character. However, due to forum drama and pressure, Kalash left sometime in late 2009 and has not returned since.

2011-present: The Return[]

Kalash returned to Sprite Wars with much fanfare on May 22nd, 2011. He made up for lsot time by joining the in-progress Fourth Grand Campaign a week after his return, also participating in the Continental Campaign with his Mad-Max inspired police faction.

He joined in the Global Campaign as the United States' Military. Sadly, the site he used to post images went down, which resulted in the loss of some very important plot points. These included USA annexing/uniting with Canada, the cold war between the USA and Mike Murdock's Mobian faction -either IOT or the Acorn Kingdom-, the possibility of a military coup in the United States after the Rebel Army overran their base in Spain, etc.

As of May 2014, he returned to the site with greater frequency.

Color Coated Campaign (2015)[]

Kalash briefly took part in the Color Coated Campaign in 2015 with his International Strategic Arms Alliance taking part with an introductory comic. Their fate is unknown.

Spriting Style[]

Kalash's sprites tend to be realistic and detailed. Weapons, vehicles and uniforms look like their real life counterparts. Kalash generally bases all of his armies' equipment and weapons on real equivalents, and also makes most of the sprites that he uses, everything from weapons and vehicles to custom head sprites. Kalash is so thorough that he uses colour palettes from real objects to create his sprites, ensuring that uniforms and guns are all the exact colours that they are supposed to be. This being so, he still takes technology from various video games to use in his sprites and armies, with many creations heavily influenced by the Metal Gear Solid, KILLZONE, and Resident Evil game series.
